As a result of our Learning Experience in Stress Management, 46% of our 8th grade students have reported that they have developed stress management strategies that they are likely to use. This is just incredible news, as most of our students identified, researched, and shared specific time management strategies as being key to helping them to deal with their major stressors. . . homework, tests/quizzes, and projects.
More great news!! Forty-three percent of our eighth grade students have reported that this Learning Experience in Decision Making has strengthened their commitment to be drug-free. An additional 44% have reported that this Learning Experience has made them think seriously about their decisions and behaviors regarding alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. Continue to have conversations within your family regarding your thoughts and feelings regarding illegal drug use. Research clearly shows that communication can make a huge impact on healthy behaviors!
Great news!! After completing our Planning and Goal Setting Learning Experience, 48% of our students reported that they were completely successful in accomplishing their goal and felt confident in their ability to set other personal health goals!
