Attention Seniors Wishing to Attend the Senior Ball or Senior Banquet

In order to be eligible to attend you cannot have more than three behavior referrals within 30 days of the event, including late referrals, or a suspension. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Meltzer in the Dean’s Office.

Senior Ball

If you are planning to bring a guest to the Senior Ball, you need to pick-up a Guest Authorization form in the main office. These forms need to be returned no later than May 29th.

The Senior Ball is Saturday, June 2nd. If you are planning to attend, you cannot have more than 3 behavioral referrals or owe any books or materials to the school between May 2nd and June 1st.

Senior Privileges

Attention Juniors. Senior privileges for the first quarter of the 2012-2013 academic year are based on the fourth quarter of this academic year. In order to be considered for senior privileges starting in September of 2012, you cannot have any more than three behavioral referrals, including lates, an external suspension, any course or quarter failures, or owe any books or materials to the school. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Meltzer in the Dean’s Office.

Blood Drive

Sign-up for the Blood Drive Monday, May 21st through Thursday, May 24th outside the cafeteria. The Blood Drive will be held on Wednesday, May 30th.

Calling All Seniors Who Attended Elsmere Elementary School

Please fill out the form you received in the mail if you are planning to attend the traditional Elsmere Senior Assembly on June 1st.  The forms are due by Monday, May 21st.  Elsmere needs time to prepare for your special day.  If you have any photos from your days at Elsmere, please get them to Mr. Valenti or Mr. Ridgway for the Power Point presentation as soon as possible.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Robin Reed at Elsmere.

Elections

If you are running for a Student Senate or Class Council position or office, please check the list on Mr. Irons’ door to make sure your name is there. See Mr. Irons with any problems. Elections will be held Wednesday, May 23rd all day in the cafeteria.

Fall Sports

It’s time to sign-up for Fall Sports in the Health Office. Please stop in during lunch, study hall, or free period.

Five Hour Driver Prelicense Class

Students must pre-register for the June 7th class. If interested, visit the Counseling Center to add your name to the list. There are 28 seats available. On June 7th, pre-registered students report to D210 at 3:20 pm. Class begins at 3:30 pm. Bring your valid NYS Learner Permit and $40.00 check payable to BCSD.

Football

Attention Anyone Who is Interested in Playing Varsity or JV Football Next Year: There will be meetings next week in Coach Leach’s room D207 at 2:15 p.m. The meeting for the Class of 2013 is Monday, May 21st. The meeting for the Class of 2014 is Tuesday, May 22nd. The meeting for the Class of 2015 is Wednesday, May 23rd. If you cannot make the meeting for your class, please attend a different meeting or see Coach Leach.

Graduation Celebration Photo Wall

Attention Seniors: Please search through your photos of you and your friends from throughout your school years for the Photo Wall for Graduation Celebration. Copies of your pictures need to be on 8x10 paper and dropped in the box located in the main office. Copies can be made and left at Ship, Copy & More. Pictures are due June 1st.

Graduation Speakers

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in being a speaker at graduation, please stop by Mr. Letzering’s room D242 to pick up a form. The form must be returned by Friday, May 18th.

Junior Prom Pictures

Junior prom pictures are in. Please see Ms. Ballard in the main office on your free time to pick them up.

Philosophy Club

The Philosophy Club will meet May 17 in Mr. Straw’s room D111.

Senior Scholarship Available

Seniors: One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior planning to major in education. Applications are available in the Counseling Center. The deadline is May 28th. Sponsored by Albany Area Retired Teachers’ Association.

Students Against Destructive Decisions

All students should look out for the posters concerning safe driving habits. When you see these posters, remember that distractive driving is just as deadly as driving under the influence. Brought to you by S.A.D.D. 

Student Senate

Attention All Those Interested in Running for Junior or Senior Class Officer and Those Interested in Running for Student Senate Representative or Officer for Next year: Please see Mr. Irons in room E103 for an election petition. Petitions must be turned in by the end of this week.

Attention Members of Student Senate: There will be a meeting today, May 16th in Mr. Iron’s room E103. 

Summer Driver Ed

Summer 2012 Driver Ed: All interested students must pre-register in the Counseling Center between Thursday, May 17 and Friday, June 1st. You will need to bring your $385 check payable to BCSD and a completed, signed Attendance Policy to the official registration meeting. The official registration meeting is on Wednesday, June 6th at 3:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Ultimate Frisbee Club Tournament

The annual student Ultimate Frisbee Tournament is coming in June. Teams of five will battle for the championship. If interested, submit a roster to Mr. Guilfoyle in room D214.
