Compensation and benefits

  • Starting at $24.98/hour.
    Medical and dental insurance, if eligible
  • NYS retirement
  • Flexible, part-time schedules available
  • Guaranteed 6 hours/day minimum schedule (Drivers usually two shifts that take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and again between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)  
  • Uniform shirts provided
  • Paid training ($21.50/hr) to earn a CDL (Commercial Driver’s License), if hired, and following completion of six months service
  • $1,000 retention bonus if hired, board-appointment, and following completion of ten full months of service (excluding summertime work)
  • $600 referral bonus for staff who successfully recruit new hires

About the job

  • Most drivers work in the morning and again in the afternoon with a long break in between (Drivers usually two shifts that take place between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., and again between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.)  
  • No evenings or weekends required
  • Drivers do not work during school vacations or on holidays
  • Drivers create a positive environment on the school bus
  • Work for the top-ranked school district in the Capital Region

Qualifications

  • No CDL needed to apply
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Enjoy working with students
