New Glenmont School Song

On Friday, June 3, singer-songwriter Jon Gailmor spent the day at Glenmont School guiding our students in creating a new school song.

Several classes from different grade levels were randomly selected to participate in writing the lyrics for the chorus and verses. With Jon's warm encouragement and questioning, the children brainstormed ideas and rhymes describing what is special about our school.
Once the lyrics were completed, Jon prompted some of our musical leaders to create a unique melody. The day culminated with a group of singers recording the song as Jon strummed along on his guitar. We are pleased to present our new song, Growing In Glenmont, which we plan to use during school assemblies and events.
